The Tipo range is fitted to ensure safety as standard: six airbags, ABS and ESC, including ASR/MSR, as well as HBA, Hill Holder, Tyre Pressure Monitoring System and fog light with cornering function.

The Fiat Tipo Hatchback is equipped with 6 airbags (front, side and window-bags), to give you the utmost protection wherever you go.

Maximum active security and perfect control in emergency manoeuvres or on slippery surfaces thanks to the sophisticated ESC stability control system. The system includes Anti-Slip Regulation and Engine Drag Torque Control (ASR/MSR), Predictive Brake Assist (PBA), stability control (TSC), Hill Holder (HSA), anti-roll (ERM) and Traction Control System (TCS).

The Full Brake Control System, standard on all versions, detects obstacles, such as cars ahead, warns you of imminent risks and brakes automatically if you don’t react in time.

Adaptive Cruise Control, available with the Safety Pack, lets you set the speed you want and then keeps you at a safe distance from the car in front.

Set the top speed you want to drive at and your Tipo Hatchback will keep below that speed all the way to your destination.

Regardless of your speed, the Anti-Slip Regulation system (ASR) uses the brakes and engine control to optimise the traction of the Fiat Tipo Hatchback even on slippery roads.

Hill Holder helps you with hill-starts by keeping the brake applied for about 2 seconds, so that you can pull away on a gradient without any hassle.

With McPherson independent suspension in the front and lateral dynamic control at the rear, the Fiat Tipo Hatchback has a reliable, lightweight and efficient suspension system.
The Frequency Dependent shock absorbers reduce body roll when cornering.

Even the tightest manoeuvres in the Tipo Hatchback are a breeze, thanks to the record turning circle of less than 11 metres.
